looking at a 2006, 2007 4runner GTA

I was looking at a Honda Pilot, then an FJ Cruiser but have since more recently focused my attention on attaining a 4Runner. My wife and I really want the creature comforts of heated seats, cup holders that actually work, and decent "umph" or power.

Personally, I look forward to a v8 over the 6 cyl vehicles.

I'm a little hazy in the manner of which AWD works.

Are all 4runners in this time frame 06-07 AWD ?

My understanding is the V8 is AWD, so you either have it in 4H or 4L and the V6 is 4WD, so you have 2H, 4H and 4L. I opted for the V6 mainly because what little towing I do did not warrant the V8. Nice thing is the V8's are cheaper in Canada than the V6's typically, even though they were more expensive new. Apparently the mpg difference is minimal.

The V8s are 4wd all the time
The V6s you can do 4wd or 2wd.

If I'm not mistaken. As Alexjet, he is the go to guy in Ontario, if not Canada, for the 4th gen 4runners
