Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have a couple questions.
I'm looking at picking up a '94 SR5, automatic with 250k. From what I've seen in pictures so far, the truck looks to be in good shape and not very rotted out. I've never owned a 4Runner before, so I'm wondering if there's anything specific I should be looking for.
Any common problems? A friend of mine told me they like to randomly get dead cylinders, don't know if there's any truth to that. I did a little reading on the forum and found out that the 3.0 is a non-interference motor, which cuts out my worries about the timing belt being done right away. Any thing you guys know that I don't would definitely help. The owner with says it burns a little oil, which I obviously expect 250k on the clock, especially since I'm used to old Hondas myself, lol

edit: Also, the owner says there's a slight noise coming from the front end, which doesn't bother me and obviously can't be diagnosed on a forum. Not too worried about it as I love doing steering/suspension work, but that brings me to the question: I assume the 2nd gen 4Runners are IFS? And as far as steering system, reciprocating ball or rack and pinion?
