Looking at some 265/70/17

Hey guys I have now on my 99 limited 4X4 I have 265/70/16 (stock size yeah) and found a nice set of used rims with tires for a nice price that are 265/70/17. They came off a 2006 chevy silverado. Anyone know if they will rub at all or hit my fenders or the extra inch will be fine? Not lifted at all, thanks

They should work. I had that size on my 2000 LTD before the lift and they did not rub.

You should be fine, I've been running that equivalent size since I bought my 2wd 02 (lowest stock suspension) with no issues. Of course I don't wheel really but I don't think I would have a problem. I think if your going to have a problem it will be with the back spacing of the GM wheel.

Size wise you should be fine, it's a 32" tire and that'll fit with no to very little rubbing. However, since they are Chevy wheels you need to figure out the backspacig and offset. If the backspacig is more than 4 5/8" and/or + offset, you may rub the UCA and other parts when turning.

Jsukey, do you have a more zoomed out side view photo of your Runner with 265/70/17 that are shown in these photos? I'm thinking of going for the exact same set up for my silver 1999 4Runner Limited 4x4 with the OEM "tall" springs.

I'd love to see how the side view looks from a distance before plunking down the cash. I'm currently running the OEM 5 stars with 265/70/16.

Here you go! Sorry they're not that great...I remembered and was in a hurry! They look huge on the rear because I have the factory saggy springs, not to mention a 150 lb. tool box attached to a receiver hitch cargo basket!

The 3rd gen section is nearly 20 years old and it's not uncommon for newcomers to bump a decade old thread, so I like the poke a little fun when it happens; I'm sorry it hurt your feelings, but do understand it's not uncommon.
