Looking for a Brush Guard for a 99 Limited

I just purchased a 99 4Runner Limited and am trying to locate a black brush guard, but I dont' seem to be having much success. Tried the local Toyota dealership - no luck, tried a local truck accessory shop - no luck. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

I have one of these in black for my 97. Basically the only reason I got it was to be able to mount some Hella 500's without having to drill into my bumper. It is cheap and it would not withstand heavy off-roading, but it works for me.

Brush guards are about as functional as tits on a bull so I say save up and get a real bumper like an ARB, Shockworks, Armorology, etc.. I personally don't like the way brush guards look on 4runners, but to each their own! If you are dead-set on one, CL or ebay would probably be the best place to find them. I see people on here selling them once in a while too.

Brush guards are about as functional as tits on a bull

lol. x2. Mine came with a WAAG, which I promptly sold and bought an ARB.

A real bumper is not that much more expensive than a brush guard. Pay the money, cry once.

Brush guards add a more aggressive look to them, but as far as actual functionability, not much. I spent $400 on a WAAG when I first got mine, but after hitting the trails and off-roading several times, I realized the difference, ....., plus I wanted a winch, so that required an upgraded bumper, which I now enjoy. However, if you are going just for looks or to maybe be able to install accessory lights, that is about all they are good for.

Just like Brian and Mr. Leary said, brushguards aren't as good as a real bumper. I heard of Brushguards causing more damage than not having one at all. The ARB bumpers look BADASS on 4runners, I'm waiting to save up for one myself
