Looking for a cheapish 3rd gen. What should I look for?

Hi guys. I've got a 4th gen and love it. My old chevy blazer is a steaming pile of poo and I would like to unload it and pickup a nicely used 3rd gen for about 4-5k if I can. What are some things to look for? I've heard of the pink milkshake of doom. What are some other common issues that I should check out. Head gaskets? But how can you check that? I would prefer a manual and rear locker in a perfect world but we'll see what's available here locally. I'm in Utah btw so there's lots of decent rigs around here. Let me know some common issues and I'll get shopping. Thanks from a 4th gen brother.

For 4 to 5k you could find a pretty decent one in my area. Cheapish to me would be like 2k lol. They are pretty much bulletproof, check out the buyer's guide sticky.
