Looking for a decent quality USB charger for unused switch blank

I am looking for a decent quality USB charger to take the place of one of the un-used switch blanks located on the center console of my 4Runner. There seem to be a number of options on Amazon, but they all seem to be pretty cheap, and have poor quality reviews. Has anyone here used this one by chance, or have a recommendation for a higher quality one?

Most of the stuff on Amazon seems like junk. I'm concerned that putting in a shoddy part could damage the vehicle, my phone, or the radio I want to run the line to.

If you want data, you can easily make one using a cable like this.

If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can DIY one for free by modifying a 12v USB charger port by adding the 5V+ and - power leads off a charger or a DC-DC step down converter to whatever you want.

The cheap ones off amazon are fine... the bulk of all this stuff is all about the same quality.

I did the install thread mentioned by the OP but unfortunately, I missed this thread until now. As explained in the install thread, the part linked by the OP proved inadequate. I gave it away and replaced it with a Blue Sea Systems model that has been stellar. It’s all in the thread linked above. Hope this helps you get the right one for your needs.
