JDM engine
Hey HD, I put a JDM 2.2 motor in my 2000 camry. The JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) that I got is a great little motor. Been running fine for 2yrs. now and I expect many more. The motor your looking for is kind of old, they may not get them anymore but I've heard you can put a 2.0 in instead with just a little modification. Drilling a new hole in a motor mount flange, something like that. If I ever have to do it again thats how I'll do it and they seem to get more of those. There all over the country in the larger cities. (JDM engine outlets) The 2.2 I bought in Richardson Tx. cost me $950. You could Tell it was low mileage by how much more power it had then the one I replaced. (204000 mi.) I just put a 3.4 in my 214000 mi. '95 T100 4x4. It cost me $1399.00 and it too felt great on its 1st test drive but another problem came up and it quit running. Something Electrical. That's what I'm here in the forum for, help for my T100. I'm a fan of the JDM motor, my electrical trouble is just a fluke I'll get passed and I'll talk about it here in the forum!
