Looking for a good trail!

I'm a newbie to SoCal and I just got a 4Runner. My buddy has a Tacoma and we've been thinking of finding a cool trail to tear down.

Both our vehicles are stock 4x4, so we're not looking for anything intense. We live near Anaheim.

Suggestions appreciated!

Hi and welcome to SoCal, cleghorn off the 15 is a fun trail that is easy but has a bunch of challenging offshoots. Also Keep an eye out for runs in the SoCal section under american t4r clubs. I live in diamond bar and also drive up to Aszusa ohv when I am too lazy to drive out to a trail.

If you live near Anaheim, the closest 'trail' is Silverado Canyon. It's basically a fire road that you can take from Rancho Santa Margarita all the way to Highway 74 near Lake Elsinore. I'm in Anaheim myself, so let me know when you go out- it's a fun trail with lots to see and great views.

Dave,

Sunday May 6th, me and some buddies are hitting Azusa to watch some carnage. You want to cruise with us?

Yeah dude, I'm game. What time are you guys planning on going? I'll meet up with you guys in the parking lot at the entrance.

I figure if we're up in the staging area at 9, it shouldn't be too crowded. The plan is to meet up at the Jack In the Box off the freeway around 8, and then head up at 8:30.

I have neither tow straps nor recovery points...truck is 99% stock. I was up there last week and come back out in one piece. I won't do anything crazy anyways. Just gonna be watching from the sideline.

Yup you're correct, just need 4 wheel drive to get in. Cool, see you guys next week. I've got a brand new Axial Wraith RC rock crawler that I want to break in also!

Where do you pick up this trail in RSM ?
