Looking for a skid plate

I've been searching for a few days online for a skid plate, I'm dying to get one. I did a quick search on here but didn't see much and everything I see online is for the newer style, not a '99.

Anyone have any sites or anything that I could look into? Thanks.

Budbuilts are TOUGH. You won't regret it. If you're strapped for cash, you COULD get some plates welded to the stock skids.

hey guys just a question is there a reason why no one uses t7075 or t6061 alum?

is it just price to manufacture?

i'd like to make my own if possible out of alum as i get good discounts and even some stuff free (whatever falls off the end of our machines after a part is made)
_____________

what would be the draw backs of this? it's all be bolt on

Are you talking about the one I have? They might have stopped making those.

If you want a real one then you should definitely get a Budbuilt or Skidrow.

smallfry-how much for the plate? Let me know!

Honestly, I don't do any off roading so I wouldn't mind just having one for looks. But if I DID decide to take it on a little trip one day I'm sure I'd be thankful to have it on there :)

I think you have the ones smallfry is talking about. 4runners came stock with skid plates.

I believe aftermarket skid plates are most beneficial on rocky trails.

Here's the factory "rice" version which just sits in front of the real one but they do look good on the street but off road they will crumple up so mine is removed for such occasions.
