Looking for 3rd Gen install ideas, any pics?
I'm looking for install ideas for a 3rd gen. Does anyone have any pics of their install that doesn't just involve setting a sub box in the back with an amp screwed to it? I am looking for some ideas to try to do a semi "stealth" install. Has anyone built a false floor or built panels for the rear sides to install amps or subs in?
I am looking to do a fairly large system, including 3 amps, 2-10" subs, a multi-farad cap, an EQ brain, xm tuner module, an ipod controller for my deck, and the crossover networks for my component speakers. I would like to "hide" as much of those components as possible. I was thinking of building a 3-4 inch high false floor and hiding the components under it, and using a couple fans to move air through it. I was also thinking of making a sub enclosure similar to the q-logic one only to hold 2 subs, I saw a pic of one someone did and it looked good.
I really wish there was room under the rear seats like in a Tahoe to mount the majority of the electronics, but there isn't so that's why I'm asking for suggestions. I need to be able to haul a few sets of golf clubs, and other fairly large objects. This is the first system I've drawn a blank for installation ideas. I'm not a newbie to car audio at all, this will be about my 25th large install just having troubles because I'm the owner on this one and don't have the owner to tell me what he wants, guess I'm having an installers version of writers block.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
