Hey y'all.
I'm planning to replace my factory MacPhersons with Bilstein 5100 adjustables in the coming few weeks. I'm planning to disconnect my XREAS, but leave the reservoir and the lines in place -- just let them hang out there but not be connected anymore.
I'd like to do it myself, but I really have no idea what I'm doing. I'd also like to avoid paying Bay Area mechanic prices--and not learn anything about how to do it myself in the process.
I'm willing to spring free beer and pizza if anyone wants to have a fun day in the sun helping out with this.
Also...I'm in the military. Subject to availability, I can get us access to one of the hobby shops at either Coast Guard Island in Alameda or Travis AFB in Fairfield. There are several bays available at each, as well as full size lifts and some tools. You're welcome, of course, to bring your truck with you...I just need to escort you in and out.
Anyone interested? Please PM if you might be.
