Looking for some tires for my 5th gen.

Yo, I'm looking for a set of offroad/all terrain tires for my 5th gen. Specifically in 275/70/17. I do a lot of highway driving and some offroad usage, dunes and I plan on going to Moab in a month.

I was looking to see if this forum got some kind of discount from tirerack, but it doesn't. So I talked to my buddies that work at a tire place, they told me they could get me a big discount on the following tires, just wanted to know if any of them are good. Haven't really done my research on these tires, he just gave me a list.

-Bridgestone Dueler RHS
-Yokohama Geolander ATS
-Falken High Country AT
-Falken S/TZ04
-Falken Wild Peak

Or just a regular discount on any Bridgestone, Yokohama, Firestone, Pirelli, Michelin, Falken, Cepek, or Dayton tire.

The tires I really want to get are the BFG KO's. Just wanted to get some feedback on any of the wheels above, before breaking the bank and ordering those BFG's. Thanks!

On your deep discount list the Yok is a decent tire for your described usage. I can't speak to Falkens, last time I used a set was in 1987 on a Plymouth Sapporo (Mitsy something...).

On the not so deeply discounted list the Firestone Destination A/T seems to do well. Bridgestone Revo2 are super sweet, Michelin LTX A/T2's are well liked too. (That B-stone Dueler you have on your deep-discount list isn't that impressive.) Perhaps the most underrated tire that you might be able to get a good deal on is the Pirelli Scorpion.

None of the tires I listed have the machismo of the BFG A/T. None will be quite as tough off-road or last quite as long. All of them will drive much better on the road (wet or dry).
