I just de-badged my 4Runner this week. I think it gives it a very "clean" look.

I'm having a hard time removing the sticky stuff that attaches the badges to the runner. How did you get rid of yours?

Try rubbing most of it off with your thumb and then use some WD-40 with a terry cloth and that should take the rest off. Then wax the area and you should be done.

You can get some stuff at Auto Zone or some of the other auto parts places, called Goof Off or Oops! It is made for bug/tar removal but does really good with that sticky stuff. just remember to wax after that. You will be removing the wax around the area. Don't worry, it is n't going to hurt the paint.

I debadged my Tundra, I really liked the look. My wife thinks my emblems on the doors look silly "sport edition 4wd"
It helps to use a hair dryer when removing them. That glue can get pretty hard to work with.

Honestly the stuff behind the letters just rubbed off with my thumb. It was so easy. But I guess if you are having trouble you can use some of the other suggestions. BTW I first took the letters off by sliding dental floss behind them.

HAHHAHA. That reminds me. When Maxima guys take the logos off the back of their cars they call it "Flossing the Burger" because the Nissan logo looks like a hamburger..:banana:

What do you guys think about these TRD wheels. I found a site that sells them at 1400 18" RIMS

They look more dressy than sporty. I guess it depends on the look you're going for.
There is a picture somewhere that I saw of those rims on a 4Runner. A profile shot.

A little too blingy for me but they are good looking wheels.

Where did you see those for $1400? I saw them at toyotaparts4u.com for $1995, I think they are pretty nice

The black pearl "iForceV8" emblem was $30 delivered. And is just sticky adhesive, no post. So applying basically anywhere on your vehicle will be possible.

I purchased the emblem from a member on another 4Runner forum. Try www.yotatech.com. There is a member using the handle of "TOR", or Toyota of Richardson, Tx. The guys name is Todd Packer and he is a parts guy with that dealership. He had all of my badges/emblems blackened for me, does quality work and a quick turn around. Todd's email: [email protected]

I had mine done with the black pearl coating, so the price was more than what you will find on that ebay listing.
