looking for wheel lock suggestions

I am looking for wheel locks. Rather than just purchase any wheel lock I wanted to ask for the opinion of people here as to their wheel locks because the last set of wheel locks I purchased were from Discount Tire for my Pathfinder and after a little more than a year they began to rust. With the rust they looked like garbage and I would like to avoid this with any future wheel lock purchases.
Thanks for any and all related help.

I've had genuine Toyota wheel locks on several cars, and never had a problem with them. They're about $30-$40 a set. I got the dealer to throw them in for free on the 4Runner; most of my previous Toyota products came with them as a port-installed option.

I also have the Toyota branded wheel locks on both my runners. Never had a problem with rusting. Sounds crazy but I wax the heads of all the lugs when i wax my wheels too. McGuard is the actual company that makes them and I've ordered extra keys from them to store at home just in case. No problems ordering them from them either. The extra keys took less than 2 weeks to arrive.

Not to sound stupid but are factory wheels that hot of a commodity ?

I never run them , never had them , dont really care if mine get stolen either (then I'll get new rims). If they want them they will get them.

Maybe if I had some custom rims.

I(f I were to get some I've heard good things about McGard and like Koz said you can get replacement key with the SN#.

I dont buy into wheel locks either. I'd love to see some poor bastard jacking up 5580 pound vehichle to steal some rims and getting crushed because cinder blocks gave way:D I think some of cromed and tricked out Impalas and riced Civics would be easier target.

Yes , there are a lot of nice trucks and cars out their with some pretty pimped set ups around here , cant see why they would want some factory sport rims that you can buy off Ebay for a few hundred bucks.

You guys are trying to apply logic to the criminal mind. That doesn't work. :D

People will steal catalytic converters off cars for scrap these days!! Who knows what they'll do with the wheels, and whether they even care how fancy they are. If there's a market, either as scrap or as gray-market collision replacement parts, someone will steal them. If there's no value to them, then they won't be stolen.
