Looking into Trueflow XDi intake, have some questions

Ok so I have been reserching this intake system and so far I like it and think I will go with it. I was looking on their site and it seems part# 40703 is for our 4runner. Also same part number goes into auto tacoma and the FJ Cruiser 4.0. Part 40704 goes into the 6spd manual tacoma and it mounts the filter so it goes to the original air box locaton, I think I like this better. What are your thoughts?

the one for tacoma is different, get the one for 4runner/fj cruiser. i have one on my 4runner and this think sucks air at wot.

Well the other one just intrigue's me because it pulls air from the fender, seems like it would be colder air there and plus if you wanted to add a snorkel down the road..hey there you go.

the one for tacoma will not work, the tube routing is different, i drive both 06 tacoma and 07 4runner, they both are v6, if u look at both the engine compartment, its almost simular right? but i tell u this, its alot more different than the 4runner, thats why they make one for tacoma and one for the 4runnerand fj cruiser. to bad that these intake the price went up, i was able to get at 283bucks shipped.

Wow I didnt really realize there was that much different, my T4R is an '05 and I had an '06 taco v-6 and cant tell much difference if any. Besides like I mentioned the Tacoma automatic is the same intake system as the 4Runner, its just the 6spd taco that gets the different system.

i think its the wiper fluid reservoir is what makes it different, and also the brakes if im not mistaking.
