Looking to buy 4Runner - how costly to fix?

I was looking at a 97 SE yesterday. The driver-side window was quirky. When winding up it would not respond. Or it would but go only about an inch or so. Eventually it does wind back up but not reliable. How should I factor that into the price? What would it cost me to fix it?

I also looked at a 99 SR5. This only had non-functional fuel guage. Never heard or seen one like that. Is it fixable? How expensive?

personally Id stay away from anything that has any sign of electrical problems.

I had a faulty motor and regulator in my drivers rear door, they go for 50 bucks on eBay and they're easy to install. I did that and now it's the fastest window I have.

When you say non functional for the fuel gauge, does it not work at all, or is it just misleading? It is a known bug on the 99-00 models, the fuel gauge not quite reading accurately (the light comes on way too early is usually it)
