Looking to buy a 2012 TE, need some help

Looking to buy a 2012 TE. I live in Oahu, Hawaii, and this trail is available on a different island, so Ill have to fly over and ship it back. Anyways, can anyone take a look at the pic to reassure me that it is indeed a trail edition? I'm asking because it is listed as an SR5 online, so I'm getting a little confused. I don't want to ask the dealer because they may not know it's a trail, and they could be listing it at a lower, SR5 price.

I know, from the outside, it looks like a trail. And I don't think anyone would go through the trouble to convert an SR5 to a trail, down to every detail like the racks, bumpers, and stock shoes.

Any who, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

The wheels are not from a Trail. Look inside at the overhead console, a Trail will have two knobs in place of the sun glass holder. The switch panel will have a switch to the right of A-Trac for the rear locker.

Incorrect, those are most definitely stock trail wheels. Yes, it looks like a trail. OP, the only other thing I'd check with the dealership about is whether or not it is equipped with KDSS
 
Ask for the vin number.
The only way you get a hood scoop on the new 4runners is to get the Trail, if that's the case for 2012 I'd think it's a trail.

Most certainly a trail edition or someone went through the whole mod aesthetically anyway. Rack, door handles, lights, over fenders, grill, hood scoop, mirrors, wheels all say TE.
 
I guess someone tried to convert and SR5, I just asked my parts guy to check out the VIN and he broke the news to me... Thanks for the help guys!
 
Looks like a true TE. However, there are a few people who have done the TE conversion on their 2010-2013 SR5/Limited. I believe [MENTION=78705]jangoforhire[/MENTION] is one of them.
