Looking to do a front axle swap.

So i am looking to do a front axle swap on my 88 T4R. Was down at the junk yard looking at axles front and rear off a early 80's chevy. any ideas as to where i should get axles or what kind works best?

I assume you mean a Solid front axle swap. That's real easy, you want the front axle off of a 79-85 Toyota truck or 4Runner.

Ya i want to do a solid axle swap. but i have no clue what i am doing! I want to go a bit wider then the stock axle. I dont want to do spacers on the tires so thats why i was think those full size chexy truck axles.

Everything you need to do a SAS with a Toy axle is available in kit form.
To SAS with some other axle puts you pretty much on your own to fab mounts, hangers, shackles, etc. And since you say you have no clue what you are doing, it seems the kit way would be a better way to go.

And what's wrong with spacers?

Ok Kit is it is. There is nothing wrong with spacers.

Y a i was just looking at the all pro kits. They look good. minus the $$$ but oh well. I have been calling around to the junk yards and such in my area trying to find a 84 or 85 axle but there are no yotas in the junk yards! know anywhere to get one that may already be rebuilt or whatever?

Can be a 79-85 axle. Look on sites like this in the 4Sale forums, you'll find one.
