Hello all, my name is Chris and I just registered here.
My buddy and I fish the south shore beaches of Long Island. He has a 2000 4-runner and he can't turn off the daytime running lights. This pisses off the other fisherman as he pulls on the beach at night. The lights shine on them and the water. Not good for fishing.
We know that if you pull up the emergency brake handle a few clicks, the lights will go off but, he's worried about driving on the beach like this. Is this a safe thing to do? Will it harm any brake components?
Are there any other ways to turn them off?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
