HI everybody! First time poster to this site but not a noob to forums, search buttons, and automobile inner workings lol. I lurked for a week or so before I bought my 4runner but I wish I wouldve searched a bit more as I missed a couple of the high milage issues such as the milk shake and rear transaxle seal but im learning quick.
Im 30 (birthday is tomorrow:lmao
I live in north TX and as youve figured by now own a 4runner as of 4 days ago. Its a 99 limited with 203 mi on the OD. Every thing works but the car is not without its drawbacks.
I took it to the dealership to have them look over it and the list is as follows:
1) Rear axle seals and shoes
2) valve cover gasket
3) Spark plugs
4) transmission drain plug leak
5) Timing belt
6) Water pump
7) Mass air flow sensor
Im wanting to do some of the work myself however I am not that handy with a wrench so my goal here is to find the "local guy" whos awesome with these cars to help me out with these projects :bigok:
If anyone can point me in the right direction Id be most appreciative! I plan on keeping this 4Runner until it falls apart as I will use it for a daily driver (a 6 speed sports car just isnt practical right now) from now on.
