Loose wire! Where does it go?

Hello, a loose wire has surfaced underneath my 86 4Runner. It's a red wire with a yellow stripe. It is tubed up with (until about the last 12inches) the same wires that end at the transmission case - I think the back up light switch.... I think this loose wire may be for the 4wd indicator switch? Where is that located, and where else could this wire connect to? It appears to connect somewhere within @15 inches of the back up light swith on the transmission. Any help is appreciated.

4WD indicator wire is at the front.You should see it when you remove the skidplate.It is right beside the vacuum pump or whatever it is called that locks the front wheels to the transmission.
