loss of power during acceleration?

Has anyone ever encountered this?
My 94phone 3.0 has a loss of power when accelerating. This consistly happens when my vehicle has had a chance to warm up. It feels as if its starving itself for fuel, but continues to run just "bogged" down....any ideas?

Fuel filter, fuel pump, dirty MAF, dirty throttle body, spark plugs, etc.

Does it do it only when it's warm, or when it's cold as well?

Only when it's warm, also it starts up great when totally cold and cranks for awhile when it's warmed up?

Check for engine codes.

Maybe the cold start injector circuit isn't shutting off and it's getting too much fuel when it warms up.

So sounds like I need to get a code reader and go from there...where do I get one and what kind should I get?

Did you end up figuring out what the problem was? It sounds like I'm having the exact same issue with my '86

Bad o2 sensor possibly. When the motor comes up to temp the computer switches to run off the o2 sensor. If the sensor is giving of bad readings then it will run like crap.

Check what you can see first ie distributor and plugs. Look inside the distributor. Buddy has a jeep had the exact problem. The distributor would get heat soaked because it was so old. Jeep would run like crap at first then finally started shutting off at stop lights

It sounds like a clogged CAT. I had a similar problem on my HD Beater. Rev'd up fine in Park. Take it out one the street it would start dieseling (vales clicking). Especially when going up hill, had no power. Turned out the CAT was blocked up, too much back pressure. Replaced the CAT and it ran normal.
