Lost all electrical power while driving down the road?

Suggestions on where to start. My daughter was on her way to school this morning and while driving she said the lights on the dash came on a few at a time, truck starts jumping and going dead then all the sudden no electrical power at all. Being a 17 yr. old she panicked big time with the feel of no power brakes and no power steering saying she almost hit a couple of cars. She said she tried to crank it a couple times but no power at all. Here is the part that gets me! After getting herself together and calling me VERY SHAKEN gets back turns the ignition fires right up like nothings wrong??? No codes runs great as always? Looked everything over and cleaned all the grounds (one was corroded a little behind the fuse box) battery cables are fairly clean etc. what would cause a sudden lose of power then back on again?
This is a 1999 toyota 4runner.
