Lost cold start High Idle

Originally had the p0420 CEL code so I unhooked the battery to reset and see if it would come back on.... It hasn't yet but now I have no high idle at start up just really low like 600/700 and a little rough/shake to it.
2000 v6 163,000 mi

check the down stream and upstream o2 sensors by checking the resistance. can you smell rotten egg smell, if you can then your cat might he going out.
could be a fuel system issue.
