lost my keys

Yep, my mom took my t4r one day to run some errands. and somehow, she lost my keys. along with the keys, it has my house key and my flash memory key which has all my school projects, essays, etc. etc. yes i was VERY pissed. and now i'm alittle behind which i'm alittle depressed. other than that, my mom did not remember where she lost it at. but yes, i still do love my mom just for getting me that t4r.

so my question is, should i just tell my friend to take my stock toyota alarm out and buy a new one? or is there a way to buy another toyota alarm and program it to my current system? so far, i'm using my spare key and just locking my doors normally. i plan to get my windows tinted but needs a solution before anything happens.

about my school work, it's really hard to make up all those stuff in my memory key. i'm very behind and had to redo all my projects again. i guess it's also my fault to not saving my files in my computer. hopefully i'll raised my grade up before it ends which is within 3 weeks. -_-

the stock alarm should arm itself if the doors are locked.. no matter if its by key or the fob.

that was my understanding anyway

hmm. oh really? that's weird. when i lock my door, the red LED next to the steering wheel doesn't blink. and the key i 'used to' use was a remote attached to the key. plus, my dad got the alarm from the dealership from toyota so i'm sure it's OEM toyota alarm. hmm.

i know mine arms... only because i locked my keys in my friends house one time so i used my backup (no fob) for a day.. and locking it manually did arm the alarm (friend unlocked the pass door through open window and the alarm went off.
