I don't know what it is, but there was a loud crunch noise, sounds like a broken axle on front wheel drive vehicle. It's only happened once this morning when I right turned into Dunkin Donut for a cup of coffee. It's so loud to the point that all the passengers questioned me at the same time " What's that noise?". I did a quick inspection around and under carriage and found nothing wrong. Has anyone experienced similar problem?

Read through the Thread I link to below. This has been a pretty well documented problem with 4th gen 2x4s. The fix posted does work. 50k now with no more problems.

Grease up the stops and see if it goes away. I just state 4x2 since they are the only ones (I have seen) post with the problem. I think the 2wd and 4wd suspension is almost the same so I would think you could have the same problem. Give it a shot and report back and let us know.

Thanks for the link. I really hope that we're talking about the same problem, but it wasn't. I've tried several times this morning, and regardless how hard I try. I couldn't duplicate the sound. I even pulled into the same parking lot at the coffee shop at almost the same angle, and at least twice. But there's no noise. I also inspected both front wheels undercarriage for indentation or contact marks or even broken parts. But there's absolutely nothing. At this point, I'm strongly believed that the loud crunch noise is made by the spring coils, which is being installed incorrectly at the factory. Both end of the sping coils supposed to be snugged to the deadstop of the mounting plates. I hope the right spring coils is now resting where it supposed to be. Thanks you all for your inputs.
