So I am in the middle of a road trip and noticed after about an hour on the interstate I was hearing a very loud high pitched squeaking. I believe it's coming from the front end. I tried a lot of things to see if something certain was causing it like braking, giving it gas, foot off the gas, uphill, down hill, turning, turning off and on AWD, etc etc. The only thing that seemed to create it was going above 65 mph. The higher the speed the more it would sqeak. I didn't go above 80 but noticed that above 75 I would start to get some vibration also. Not sure if it's related yet or not yet. It's not very loud inside the car with the windows up but extremely noticeable with the windows down. Whenever I'm below 60/65 it's none existent.
Three or four months ago I replaced the rotors, pads, Toyota oem LBJs, LCA bushings and got an alignment done. Haven't had a single problem with any of these just saying what I've done to the area where I believe it's coming from.
I've checked the u joints on the drive shaft cause that was my first thought and they SEEM ok. I regularly greese up the rear one but have trouble getting to the front ones and haven't done those in a while. My other thought would be the wheel bearings. I have not checked those yet.
Anyone have any thoughts or have experienced this before?
Edit: the sqeak isn't consistent and only happens for about 1/4 to 1/2 of a second each time based off of my current speed. Sometimes it's there sometimes it isn't but when it is there is very loud and frequent.
