Low Profile Roof Rack, $235 shipped

Built another style and like it. Could be easily bolted to the stock bars when you have something you need to throw up there or i could weld on some tabs to mount to your stock tracks. i only have measurements for 3rd gen tracks though so if you need one for 4th or 5th gens i'll need some good numbers to build off of from you. measures 42x55x4-1/2, weighs about 25-30lb. Plenty stout and super rigid. Bare steel, ready to paint, powdercoat, or whatever you like. $235 shipped, gotta sell to build more!

That's some nice work! I'm about 2 hours away... If I bring my 4th gen down can you mock up some mounting tabs so I can remove my factory rack altogether? Let me know, definitely interested!

It does have tabs to fit stock rails and I can fab up a tire carrier you can ubolt or clamp to it.

I like it alot, lots of room. I am very interested. Do you think that a jon boat will slide right up onto it without issue weight/size wise?

If you can make one that will mount onto my stock 3rd gen tracks i would probably buy one. Unless you can show how you mounted the rack up their without the tracks.

Do you see any leak issues coming from it?

Again, this rack is mounted on the stock 3rd gen tracks, all you'd have to do is take your stock crossbars off, match up the bolts with some shorter ones at any hardware store and bolt it on. As for the Jon boat, it will hold it without a problem, how wide is your boat?

I tend to reiterate things because i have been screwed over one to many times. Not anything against you, its just a wall i put up when purchasing.

I dont have a jon boat yet but i would imagine from looking at them that they are no wider than 3 feet. The rack looks plenty wide.

No worries, yeah depending on what size boat you get it should be no problem. I actually wanted to make one like this so I could carry a kayak and it would fit the bill nicely.

***235 to the lower 48***, for some reason i get a ton of requests from puerto rico. and i use greyhound package express so you'd have to pick it up at the nearest terminal, and they have terminals everywhere.

the price for the tabs welded on the stock rails location will be the same?
