low tire pressure light?

If you have read my prev. post in the Gen. Disc. forum you are familiar with my post.

<-- currently looking to buy a used 4 runner for the family. It was be an as needed vehicle for here in MN for winter use and towing a small boat.

I looked @ 1 yesterday in person. Here's what I noticed / was told.

1. Low tire pressure light is on in the dash. I was told by owner that it comes on every 6 months or so because the spare tire needs air?

2. Front passenger caliper was replaced. It was seized. Replaced both front rotors and pads.

3. Headlights are hazy and not clear. Is there a good fix for this? I know they make all the kits and cpolishs etc.. But how well do they actually work?

1.This is probable, but there is a quick fix bypass instructional on this site(http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/108176-write-up-how-disable-bypass-tpms.html). If you check your tires regularly and inspect the spare you know this is just a dummy light.


2.That makes sense as the front end of these cars are notorious for seized calipers(Knock on wood, haven't had the problem yet at 90k miles). Many people go get NAPA or similar lifetime warranty replacements and never worry about it again as they just get new ones. Another fix I believe if I read right, was some people switch to a tundra front end setup?



3.The polishes I think are at best decent. Unless they have a kit with multiple grit level sandpapers to bring it all down to the same level then polish it your best bet is to maybe try new headlights, brighter lights, laminix them so you at least dont have to see this aesthetic part of the vehicle.
