lower ball joint install

so i went to install my new lower ball joints and got every thing apart down to getting the steering linkage to come out and get the ball joint to come out of the lower control arm, I tried threading the nut on a little way and hitting it with a hammer to keep from damaging the threads but they didn't budge

i have already put it all back together because I been having some problems out of my pinkie finger on my left hand and it popped out of place about half way through me trying to get them apart, so putting it back together with a gimp finger throbbing took all i had

please someone shoot me some advice as to an easier way to get these off

go to advance auto parts and rent a ball joint separator. that will enable you to get the balljoint loose, and the tie rod end out. It always helps to have the right tools.
