Can any of you wonderful members out there explain how I can move my licence plate bracket down. I just purchased the strona bull bar and it covers the current location of the plate. Hey, I live in Jersey so you KNOW 5-0 will just jump all over me for that, especially when I put the aux light on!!:D

You could probably get two thin strips of metal and have holes drilled in the ends. Attach one end to the bumper and the opposite end to your plate lowering the mounting position of the plate.

RL4673 , hey you liked that huh!? :) I am around old Veterans all day (God Bless Them! they're the best) but now I've adopted some of their old lingo like calling pants "britches" and legs "gams". Love the police , but you guys are a bit strict here in the Garden State ( for good reason, we've got too many people, and natives like me with lots of attitude;): OK so now I have to remember what I did in shop calss to move this darn plate. Dont they sell stuff like this in auto stores?? ! Thanks guys

God Bless our Veterans!! ( some of us who work for the VA really care, even though there is recent news to the contrary..)

Hmmm, that's interesting! I live in Califunky and installed the Strona Bull bar to my front bumper. I haven't had any problems with LE out here. It doesn't obstruct the view of the plate as much as I thought it would. Good luck at finding a good relocation point.

you MIGHT be able to get away with no front plate. i have two friends who both drive with no front plate and they both reside in NJ. one's been doing it for about 3-4 years and never had a problem and he drives roughly 40miles round-trip to his shop. i'm too chickensh*t to take mine off nor do i care. i just have the smoked plate covers and thankfully no beef (and i live in Holmdel where the cops are beyond rough).

what VA hospital do you work at? my fiance's father goes to the one in Lyons.

Here is what I used to lower the plate. I had them in the garage and think you could find something like it at the Home Depot or Local HW store.

Thanks everyone, I really love this forum, everyone's so willing to help....I think I will be able to finagle something. I'm in the Surgical Dept in the main hospital in East Orange, but we see patients from all over the state and I actually live nearer to Lyons. I would perfer to be stationed there (so I could play golf on my lunch hour!! :D ) If any of you guys have relatives or (your fiance's father...) in the system, let me know and I will keep an eye out for them and help them through any red tape if they encounter it. I work in the Vascular Surgery Dept so if they have any issues with circulation , I'm your lady!
