Lube Change Question.

I will be changing my diffs. and transfer case oil soon and I was wondering if there are any gaskets needed?

I thought I would post up the part numbers for the crushwashers. I had to go to 3 different dealers to get these damn things. Hopefully this will help someone out in the future!

Front Diff Drain
9043024003

Rear Diff Drain

Transfercase Drain
9043018008

Oil pan drain
9043012031

Hopefully this will save someone the headache it caused me.

Total cost was almost 7 dollars for 2 of each.

Koz, here are the part numbers for the gaskets on the V-6 Im sure most of them are used on both V8 and V6 models but calll a dealership you trust (LOL!) and have them verify. ALso I had to special order several of them so be prepared for that. Total cost was 7 bucks for all of them.

Also there are crush washers for the fill holes too. I didn't change those but there are two for each diff. and two for the t.c. if you want to change them on both the drain and fill holes.

I'm actually making note of these so it's easier for me in 30,000 miles or so, but I thought you guys may want a description too. I should have taken pictures, but I suck at life and neglected to do so...

also, when it comes down to how many quarts to buy, I bought 8. I used most of the eighth too, as I would leave the drain plug and the fill plug open and shoot some new clean oil through whichever vehicle part I was working on, just to try and flush out anything that may be hanging out in the case. clean oil in and out, then I replaced the drain plug and filled her up. seemed to work okay, and it's worth the price to be certain.
