Seems when i purchased my 2000 4runner i never got the wheel lock key. So now its brake time and not sure how to get these off. Anyone have a tip how to get these off and what the specs are for the lugs so I can get new ones?

thanks Kevin

Get a 19mm socket and pound it into the wheel lock, then turn the socket.

You might try putting some heat on it before you do that.

Also... in the process of getting the lock nut off, you are likely to shear the lug stud. Have another ready before you start so you are not left stranded.

If you have a welder, you can weld a nut onto the top of the locking nut, and pull it off normally.... its what I would do...

Hope this helps.

Yeah, take it to the dealer and they can match a key to the lock to take it off. They will sell you a new key if you want it. If I were you I would remove them permanently. I used to be a fan of them but I had mine destroy itself with very little force. If you do remove them and want new standard lug nuts, prepare to be pounded in the rear by Toyota for new ones, they'll want close to $10 each for them...
