Lumbar motor stoped working?

I will admit I've had my share of screwing around with the seat to try and get comfortable in the 4runner, but out of the blue it seems like the lumbar motor went.

I metered + or - 12VDC at the connector at the motor, so I know its not a fuse or the switch.

anyone heard of this? I think I've only used it a dozen times.

Vehicle has 1300 miles on it.

Its not a big deal to me, just out of principle for something to fail within 2 months of ownership on a 2015 with 1300 miles doesn't sit so well with me.

Generally I keep it all the way retracted, but I have played with it trying to get rid of the hard spot in the back of the seat.

This was before I knew what the hard spot really was, and its not the lumbar.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, hopefully this will be an easy fix for you.

I was chastised for saying this in another thread- but this is disconcerting. The original poster in that thread reported a more serious engine cut-off issue, so your problem is far less serious and easier to fix.

Nonetheless such failures after 2 months of ownership should not fit well with anyone.

If it's that new just head to your nearest dealer for a fix under warranty. It might just be a dead motor or something simple.

I read your other post and while some of the replies were a bit over the top, your expectation of 100% perfection from a brand new vehicle seems a bit lofty as well. It's a machine made up of tens of thousands of parts comprising hundreds of systems with dozens of functions. It's not a toaster. Odds are that once in a while some vehicle on the assembly line is going to get a bad part from a supplier and suffer a failure of some sort. That's why they come with warranties. Take it back, get it fixed, and carry on.

Mine does that intermittently. Haven't really looked into it, because it always starts working again.

If your truck is still new, why are you even here, haha? Just take it back to the dealership and get the warranty repair done.
