Liftgate lock and window no longer working

Today I tried to go to open my liftgate and it didn't want to open. When unlocking and locking the door, nothing is clicking inside the liftgate. The rear window was still going up and down using the key but the button by the driver seat was not working. I had thought I needed to reset so I disconnected the battery and then the rear window stopped working. Thankfully, it was in the down position. Since I have a drawer system in the trunk that is not easily removable (bolted into the 3rd row seat bolts), I had to pry the plastic cover of the liftgate open. This broke some clips in the process. I was able to get inside the liftgate and open it manually. At this point the liftgate lock still doesn't click. I'm unsure whether its in the locked position or open. Thing is that the soft close mechanism still closes the trunk.

Any thoughts on what to try next? Is it a blown fuse? Try resetting the battery again? Get a new lock actuator? New window motor?

I can't keep climbing into the trunk through the back seat to open the lift gate. For now I've also tied a string to the manual lever to open it.

I had the same problem with mine. Found the solution was to disconnect the battery (for about 30 minutes). This allowed the locking mechanism to fully reset and it started working again.
