Lund AVS Bugflector install problems on '05 SR5

I finally got it installed, but last night I had some big problems installing the AVS 25113 03-05 4Runner Bugflector on my 2005 SR5. Maybe I can include some pictures in a bit but for now I'll just try to describe and see what you all think.

Getting the bugflector to fit between the grill and the hood was a huge pain. I took the grill off and placed the bugflector where it was supposed to go but when i tried to put the grill back on, there was no possible way to get the screws at the top of the grill in because of the new shield. What I eventually had to do is get a hammer and flatten parts of the panel where the screws go into and forget screwing in a couple of them all together. I put Loctite on a couple of the screwn that couldn't go in all the way to insure a good fit.

Sot that was the first problem I had. The tension involved in the awkward fit led to the front of the shield bowing down lower than the rest of the shield. It just looked weird. For a temporary solution I balled up a couple of wads of tin foil and wrapped them in electrical tape and wedged them between the hood and shield.

I want to get this right. Any thoughts on this? Anyone experienced the same thing?
