MAF to air box connection loose?

I was cleaning out my MAF and TB today when I noticed that the MAF housing doesnt sit flush with the airbox. There is a tiny gap on the top of the connection.

Also noticed that the MAF to airbox connection doesnt have the ring clamp like the rest of the connections along the air hose.

Has anyone else seen this or had this issue? I tightened up the o-ring clamp (the one on the other side of the housing) and the two mount bolts for the MAF housing. I have a feeling it has been like this for a while and I just havent noticed. Will post pics soon.

Good news , bad news. The bad news is that you are pulling in unfiltered air. The good news is that it is not between your maf and throttle body which would give your ecu a false reading. You could try a little bit of silicone on it, enough to stop the leak but not so much you can't remove it.
