Magnaflow Exhaust

Anyone with a 4th Gen run this exhaust? Im thinkin about getting it, and could use feedback.

i've heard from a bunch of people that the magnaflow has a terrible highway drone. im not speaking from experience just from other feedback on the forum. as far as exhausts go, i purchased the Borla and got a really great deal on it. i feel it looks much better than the magnaflow and sounds fantastic(that is just a personal opinion) If you like the look of the kit, then go for it. just my 2 cents.

I just had a magnaflow muffler put on and the resonater cut off it sounds good with the V6 but yes it does have some highway drone if you are in the back seat

i went with vortex cause price. havent installed yet though. if anyone can tell me a better muffler for 100 of cheaper please tell me and ill sell the vortex but as of right now ill get it put on whenever i get the chance

Yeah I like the look of the Borla as well. But the only ones I've seen go for about $1k.

And as for the muffler Ive been considering it, i just dont know if it will give me the sound im looking for.

Well if sound is the only thing you want then a muffle is fine

well your really not going to get much better gas mileage. i hate to break it to u but the factory exhuast is very efficent. now if u drove a 98 dodge 1500 v8 then yes a whole system would help but in a 4th gen 4runner it really wont sorry

get the jardine if you can! some one is selling one really cheap in the classified section also someone is selling a borla for 300 might still be in the classified section as well. but if money is a concern just get a muffler I know thrush exhausts are having a sale mufflers are are going for 27 bucks new! never heard one of them before though.

Buy the borla from TRDsparks.com thats where i bought mine. with shipping it was about $700.

what you should do is go to u tube and type 4runner with magnaflow thats what I did when I got mine or you could go to their website and look to they have soundbytes maybe that will help your descion

The 50 series muffler from Flowmaster is a good muffler sounds great on a V8 I had one on my 02 F150. As for my set up I don't have pics I was forced to do the exhaust I ripped my muffler open on some local trails so the muffler shop cut out my stock one and welded up the new magnaflow alittle higher and threw on a extra support bracket then we just cut the resonater off added a small section of pipe and put on a stainless steel magnaflow tip that was a 2 1/2 dia tip by about 12 inches long the added benifit is there is no longer the sulfer smell from the exhaust

I just checked the website and there isn't a Borla available for the 2003 V8?
