I am trying to get all the info on the 4th gen runners I can. I downloaded the wiring Diagrams from Good Times Link last night, man they are nice. Anyone would not happen to have the maintance manual online would they?

i just picked up the service manuals (vol 1 and 2) from ebay for about 100 bucks... try that.
 
download, man im on dial up, do you know how long that would take?

Im in no hurry, looks as if the 05 will not be here to at least cristmas

well, I think am still in the 80's, oh basic progrmming on a Apple IIe, man that was a computer, I am still not sure of the big $$$ I spent on this Dell is quite worth it,,,I spend half my time looking for the switch to turn it on.

The CD manuals are in PDF format and spread out over a number of different files. It does not include a PDF index. What this means is that if you want to look up something, you have to use Acrobat's search through files function. This is pretty slow and somewhat annoying. Copying the CD to a hard disk will speed it up a little.

If you're going to use it a lot, you may want to consider the hard-copy manuals. If you're going to just use it occasionally, it would probably be okay.
 
There are also 'fixed up' versions of the PDF manuals around ... if you know who to ask. In any case, if you only have dial up then the paper manuals are your only choice.

I just won an ebay auction for 2003 4Runner manuals in paper. I was the only bidder at $99 plus $15 for shipping. The ebay seller is jcmanuals (I can't remember if there's an s on the end or not).

I bought my manuals from him as well. They're pretty useful, though I'm still looking for the V6 supplement since the 03 Manuals Vol 1 & 2 only cover the V8.

Nice going Steve, you got a good buy. The list on them is about twice that price. Mine (2004 manuals) cost me $145 plus the shipping from the same guy. I had 3 bids in front of me.

Thanks, I feel better about my purchase now.

I just couldn't spend money on CD's I knew were counterfeit.

I AGREE!

Plus having a hardcopy to read while you goto sleep is soooo great :) Good bed time reading ya kno ;)

Btw, I got mine from jcmanuals too! He also carries the supplemental ones if you just email him. I only have the vol 1 and 2 ofcourse and the pdf's for all the electrical stuff from the toyota tech site :) so i'm set in the manuals section.
 
I forget who I got the CD from, but it's original - not a one-off. That being said, from my previous post about the lack of an index really sucking, I'll probably buy the hard-copy eventually.
