MAINTENANCE question. (timing belt/water pump)

Hey guys, I just took my 4runner to the shop to get a check-up. I had the fuel filter replaced because it was RUSTED! and it was causing a slow crank, but the slow crank is slightly still there. The mechanic said it might have damaged the fuel pump. I got all the fluids topped off so I have a starting point for my future maintenance. I have no record about the timing belt and water pump and I was told by the mechanic if I wanted to do that it'll cost nearly 600-700 bucks. Is there a way to check if my timing belt and water pump was replaced?! I don't want to pay up to 400 dollars in labor and find out that it was already replaced. Thanks alot guys!

It should have a sticker on the timing cover, if it was replaced and if they remembered to put it on.

The OEM belt comes with a sticker.....

Did you have rust in your fuel tank? cause I can't see a rusty fuel filter killing a fuel pump.

Sorry, your on your own for the waterpump, but if you have to get the belt, probably going to want to get a pump just in case.
