Maintence questions on 2005 4Runner

I've got a 2005 4Runner 4 X 2 with the V6 engine... & looking ahead through the Maintenance Guide book, I see at 15,000 miles it requires a "Re-torque propeller shaft bolt", and at the 30,000 mile maintenance it requires the "Re-torque propeller shaft bolt" again, and also a spark plug change for the 1GR-FE
engine, which I understand is the V6 engine.

My Toyota came with an option called XREAS shocks for about $400 extra. Is that the same package as I see the forum speaking of when they say "sport suspension"? Is it only shocks?

Just wanted to inquire for sure what the propeller shaft is? Think it has to do with the drive shaft, but never heard a drive shaft called a propeller shaft (although I can see the logic) would that be correct? Also why such a 'fast' change of the spark plugs...I thought most plugs installed now last longer than 30,000 miles. Know mine did in a 1998 Avalon.

Just different terminology used throughout the work, like hood and bonnet or trunk and boot. Prop shaft and drive shaft is the same thing pending on who you speak too. I have checked the bolts on my 4wd V8 at 10k, 20k and 30k miles and tehy were always tight.

Also yes the V6 requires plugs at 30k miles. There were some guys looking into iridium plugs fro the V6 which would last 100k miles, I think Koz found the part numbers, but dont know if anybody has tried it yet.

Yup, the V6 needs new plugs at 30k. This surprised me as well because it's such a new engine that I thought Toyota would include the iridium or platinum plugs with it.

I'm assuming you have a Limited since that's the only 4Runner that has XREAS as an option (Sport Editions come standard with it and they aren't available on SR5's). It's a system where the shocks are conncected in an X pattern: right-front to left-rear and left-front to right-rear. The system moves fluid from one end to the other to help control body roll during cornering. I guess it can be called a sport suspension because it's standard on Sport Editions.

I'm also pretty sure the propeller shaft refers to the drive shaft.

Thanks for the fast replies! Yes, I forgot to mention that it is a Limited. I'll keep up on the forum and see what the poster comes with about the iridium spark plugs. I've got quite a while before needing to replace plugs or the other item either. Just curious about the terminology used on the drive shaft and the shocks.
