First, I just got 9mpg on my last 60 miles. There may have been a bit too much idling, and a little bit of jack rabbiting on some starts, but this is hideous. This is after I had a seized front caliper fixed which should have increased my mileage. I want to correct this. Plus, my engine is very growly. I don't think it's an exhaust leak, but not sure what else it could be. Want to get this fixed up.
My belts squeak. After I tighten them a bit what can I spray on them to keep them from doing this. They are new from last year, only 5000 miles, and one started getting a bit worn on the side (very minor). They squeak a hell of a lot more since I hit a sign and de-greased the engine.
Taking off the running boards--do I need mud flaps behind my front wheels? Any ideas for new flares?
How much should a stock new rear bumper cost? Mine's rust city this year.
Finally, I'm getting a lot of suspension bounce. If I give it a good push up front it bounces about three times. I'd like to have this done front and back, and maybe lift it up a bit. I don't want a raise that requires other mods, and I don't want expensive, custom springs or shocks. Just a stiff ride and a small height advantage. Getting new tires at the same time (BFG AT K/Os I believe).
Gonna do a new filler pipe to fix code throwing, and if that fails am I looking at a new charcoal filter as well later this year?
Engine tune-up/clean, exhaust welds, squeaky belts [need tightened (cheap), ****ed up pulleys (not good)], flaps(?), flares, rear bumper, shocks and springs and spacers, filler pipe, labour. How much?
Also, after being up to my running boards/doors in a mud puddle and spinning to get out, and then hosing off underneath big time to clean it up, is there anywhere I should pay special attention to and re-lube?
