Making all doors unlock

I think I read a post about making all the doors unlock instead of just the driver. The post mentioned that this had to be programmed by the dealer. If so, can this still work if a Viper remote start alarm is installed?

Thanks,
Adrian

theres a setting on the viper to send double pulse for unlock. ask the installer to change it. basically when you hit the unlock on the remote, the alarm brain should send 2 quick pulse on the unlock side, so that will unlock everything.

I don't know if it matters, but the Viper alarm/remote start is B5704V. I had it installed about 2 years ago. I mentioned the unlocking about a week later and I was told that it can't be changed. I don't know if it was the sales guy just wanting to brush me off so they didn't have to go back in and change it.

So I'll call them again, but if it can't be done, would having the dealer reprogram that behavior be an option? Also, if I did end up going the Viper route, wouldn't that cause it to also honk twice like it does when I press the unlock button twice?

if the installer is cool, all they do it hook up there small programmer and change that setting really quick, takes like 5 mins or less of there time, you can try best buy since they deal with dei products.

its pretty simple if you can do it yourself. press and hold and press again for number of times, then hit the unlock on remote to change to that setting.
