Making the move from tuner to SUV....

Hi everyone new here. I joined because I'm making the move from 04 Acura RSX Type-S to a 3rd Gen 4Runner. Doesn't make sense to have a sports car when I start my 4th year of college next semester.

I'm looking for a 4x4 manual transmission and I know the resale value is pretty good on these things and I got offered one with 150k miles for 6g's. I KBBed it and resale value according to them is between $4k-$4.5k. Which is a more accurate price of which I should be looking spend?

Oh my bad, it's a 1997. 4x4, pretty much stock except a small lift.

Just curious....why wouldn't it make sense to keep your Acura during your 4th year old college? I don't understand the logic.

Is it an SR5 or Limited?

How is the interior? Exterior?

It's an SR5, interior and exterior are both in pretty good condition, it has a 3in lift in the front in back. Front suspension is Bilstein and the rear is riding on land cruiser springs which I thought was kind of odd, but then again I don't know much about suv suspension.

Just curious....why wouldn't it make sense to keep your Acura during your 4th year old college? I don't understand the logic.

I've been at a JC for 3 years and I'm transferring to Cal State Fullerton which is easily an hour minimum commute for me in the mornings. I'd rather not put the miles and wear and tear on my nice Acura and sell it while its still worth something so I can have some money in the bank for a 370z when I graduate.

maybe sell the acura now and get a 4th gen since resale values have dropped because of the whole toyota unintended acceleration debacle. Honestly the money you put towards a 3rg gen will negate whatever you save in depreciation from the acura.

oh and 6k seems a lot for a 97 with 150k miles.
