I feel the same

Just went through the same thing....considered selling it more than once since then. Had a potential buyer look at it and drive it around the block and on second loop around I made him stop the car and told him no sale.

This thing will likely cost me many more $$$$$$$'s before its all over but there is nothing out there that could replace it.
 
Very true.. I got in it today and after going the "should I just sell" route in my head all week, realized how much both me and my wife have enjoyed it. Needless to say shes goin in for repairs tomorrow.:).. Gonna set me back a pretty penny but will be worth it.. I just cant wait to have some free time to repair it myself.. Would be another week at least. This way it's ready by Thursday for sure..
 
i wanted to sell mine when my center diff lock seized. Was close but then decided to fix it. Im glad i did. Im really liking it now.
 
I love mine and wanted it to be the one I keep and get's the SAS but after fixing it from two Sundays ago adventure I am on my way back to a third. I miss the simplicity and the best mix of quality and ruggedness out of all the generations.
 
Couple of years ago when I had to get my engine and main wire harnesses replaced, she was at the dealer for about 2 months. Harnesses were coming from Japan and special ordered. Anyway, I was jonesing for my truck................

Had the same thing happen to me, but it was more like 4 months; 3 incorrect motors, 2 new ecus and 1 wiring harness. Never felt so good to drive after getting it back.

How did that happen to you??

My harnesses fried b/c I installed a 30 amp fuse into the headlight 10amp slot. Yeah, not good.

Oh, Toyota replaced the battery and an injector. When I got her home, she still had some "teething" problems (kept getting CEL lights, but turned out the damn gas cap was loose. Buying a new one cured that). If I had a DeLorean with a Flux Capacitor, I'd go back and PAY EFFING ATTENTION to what I was doing. Paying $7K was NOT fun.

I hydrolocked it driving in a rain storm. Went through a small puddle and somehow sucked about half a gallon into the intake and shot a connecting rod through the block. I guess when Toyota was replacing the engine the first time (they got the wrong motor three times) they melted the harness.

And man, the whole harness was fried from just misplacing a fuse? Sorry to hear that. Ill be sure to never do that haha
