Manhunter's front bumper

I am having a customized tubular front winch bumper made for me. The guy sent me some photos last night of his progress. I also attached a photo of the Budbuilt skid-plate that I will be installing when I get the 4runner back.

Wow! That should be lighter and enough to serve the purpose.

I mean, other custom built bumpers will add more excess weight when you are not offroading everyday :)

Well, he's doing a nice job! It looks like he has all of the necessary tools (bender and plas) to make the job MUCH easier.

Oh yeah, he knows what he is doing, he completely re-built his Jeep several times - has the tube bender, welder, plasma, etc..... He is somewhat of a perfectionist, so it will take a little longer to get it done, but I think the wait will be worth it. He is doing it fairly cheap too.

Humm....if you dont mind me asking, what is his name? I used to live up in North Texas (Denton) and wheeled my jeep with a lot of the folks in that area.

I knew you were going to ask me that - His name is Kevin, but I don't really know his last name, ...., he goes by Slyder. Did you wheel with the Lone Star Jeep Club, or the DFW-TX4WD group?

Yeah....I used to be part of LSJC...when they were called Jeeps of North Texas. I dont really remember too many of those guys online handles....

Looks good man, personally a fan of plate over tube fronts but its looking good for sure, mechanics make sense so far! May be shaping up to be one of the finer tube fronts I've seen

Thanks, he is trying to make the design match the flow of the body design so that it all blends in and doesn't look like something that was just stuck on there. He is going real slow, but in the end I think I will have a unique custom bumper that I will be very proud of and enjoy.
