Hey guys, so i was going to pick my friend up, and it is bout a 30 KM drive, and i was on the highway, my 4Runner started acting weird,
I would put gas, and it would hardly go, no matter the gear i was in, there was also this weird burning smell, i have no

Your TPS (throttle position sensor) could have gone, your fuel pump could have gone, injectors could be going, distributor could be dying..It's probably not your transmission if it just felt like the truck was sluggish. Was the motor stumbling or cutting out, or did it sound fine? Because I hear "weird burning smell" and I think you roasted your clutch.

If the motor speed increased without the truck going faster then I'd agree with KidV.
