Manual for Scion HU?

Guys,
I must have been insane but I let you guys talk me into not only making my first purchase ever on eBay (yes, I am a little behind the times!) but also making that purchase the T1807 Scion HU. Now I am going to have to up the insanity one level and try to install this thing! But I am sitting here today staring at this Scion HU sitting on my desk, and wondering how the heck am I suppose to know how to run it without a manual?! What are all these buttons for? I have searched the internet and can't seem to find a manual. Can anyone help an old man who is wayyyy past the age where he should be doing any of this? Thanks a bunch!

You could try posting on the scionlife.com forums in the vain hope of finding a manual. I tried hunting for one and gave up.

I managed without one. Most controls are fairly obvious. Folder buttons change the MP3 folder if you're playing an MP3 CD, for example, and the text button scrolls through different tags of MP3s (artist name, title name, track name etc) or of regular CD (if you have a text-enabled CD). Averythgn else is pretty much like every other car stereo out there.

There are a few hidden tricks though, outlined in this forum. One is how to change the greeting screen (you'll have to do a search for that one). Another is how to change the sound profile based on the model Scion (Xa, Xb, Xc) - just hold down the SSP button and it'll run through the three models. I found the Xb sounds is best in the 4runner.

OK, I foudn something that might be of use... an interactive owner's manual. Nothing printed, but it runs through all the features via a flash demo online.

Click on "interactive owner's manual" then on "Xb", then on "audio" then "Standard Pioneer radio" (which is the T1807 model). Then you have little presentations on five or so sets of controls. Just make sure your computer's sound is on.
