Manual Hubs for my 95 T4R

I have been looking at getting some manual hubs for my 4r. I have a few questions

1. This will increase my 2wd mileage for DD, correct? As the front diff will no longer be spinning causing drag on my front wheels.

2. Are they stronger then what I have now? I believe they are constantly engaged.

3. Do you use the same axle's?

4. Which ones to buy? OEM toyota, Warn, Rugged ridge....

You use the same CVS (axles)

THey are stronger and if you get rid of the ADD slide collar, its one less point that can fail.

Yes, they will in crease your fuel mileage, and your diff/ cvs will no longer be spinning in 2wd mode.

Stock Aisin is the best, your looking for any 86-95 IFS lock outs. Warns dont use the cone washers which is nice. Any will do.

IFS locking hubs are 26 spline. As for mileage, the jury is still out. I don't drive my T4R as much as I used to, so I don't put a full tank of gas to get exact mileage figures. I agree with Hyde, Aisin Hubs are the best. There are a few guides in the sticky, that will show you how to properly disassemble the hubs and reassemble them. You will need new gaskets for both sides, a hub gasket and a dial gasket, also in the sticky.
