Manual hubs

Thinking about replacing the auto hubs on my 93 4runner with manual hubs, any suggestions. I would like to tow it 4 down behind my motor home. A friend of mine has a jeep and he put hubs on the rear,
don't know if you can do that on a toyota.

Only thing Ive seen is a rear disconnect for a gear driven T-case...when I flat tow I just disco the rear driveshaft

You can get a set of Aisin hubs (OEM) on ebay for $100 or so. Clean them up and they'll work fine. Easy install, no need even to jack up the vehicle.

If you mostly use the 4runner as a runabout to go into town to get groceries, etc., just take the rear drive shaft completely off and throw it in the back. Tow it with the front hubs unlocked. When you need use the 4runner, you can lock the front hubs in, engage 4hi, and drive around as a front-wheel drive vehicle with absolutely no harm done. Then, if you want to do some serious 4-wheeling, install the rear DS and you're good to go.

If you get manual hubs make sure tbey are for an 86+ IFS truck.
The older ones won't fit.

You can get a full floating conversion for tbe rear from All Pro Offroad , IIRC.
